Seven Years Shaping Diagnostics for Women
Zulma spent seven years leading scientific and medical-device development, focusing on point-of-care technology designed to deliver real-time hormonal and reproductive health data. That work sits at the center of Plasmatrix Biotech, which she founded after rising through roles that included Director of Galloway Anesthesia Associates. Her path from hands-on clinical work to the executive chair gave her a ground-level understanding of where standard diagnostic tools fall short for patients and providers alike.
Her academic foundation reinforces that practical experience. A bachelor's degree in business and healthcare administration, combined with graduate study in Public Health Policy at Harvard, shaped how she thinks about building technology that fits real clinical workflows. The goal at Plasmatrix is not just a better test. It's a testing platform designed to reach patients who have historically had the least access to quality care.
Rooted in Miami, Building for the World
Zulma grew up watching the consequences of limited diagnostic access in Cuba, and that early experience still drives the direction of her work. Back in Miami Beach, she channels that urgency into direct community action. Through Plasmatrix, she helps coordinate free hormonal health screenings in partnership with local leaders, and she stays active in STEM education efforts across the city.
She is building a company, but she is also building a case that science done responsibly can serve people who need it most. Her presence in Miami's growing healthcare and biotech community reflects a belief that geography and income should not determine whether someone receives an accurate diagnosis. That conviction, more than any product roadmap, defines where Zulma Guillot is headed.
